More Than My pretty face graduates

I’m Bryce. I’m 18 years old and I am now a freshman in college at Johnson C. Smith University. I’ve learned so much throughout my 4 years at More Than My Pretty Face, but the main thing I feel like I’ve learned is that you are so much more than a pretty face, and I’ve learned how to navigate through the world with all the information given every session. Now that I’ve graduated, I am a Biology major at Johnson C. Smith University, a Luv-A-Bull (which is the university's cheer team), and I’m a member of Royale( which is a modeling troupe on campus). I am forever grateful for Ms. Angel and all the other leaders who have helped us out throughout the years. I love y'all deeply, and I send my best wishes to everyone!

The 2024 holiday season brought a little more than good cheer this year for MTMPF, thanks to alumna, Janelle. This year she was blessed to celebrate a whole year of her growth, progress and leaning into her maturity as a young woman: "The Year of Janelle." While exciting in a variety of ways for Janelle, she received a blessing so that she could be a blessing. Her parents gave her $1,000 with the challenge to do good to others in the way it had been done to her. According to Janelle, "MTMPF was the first one I thought of giving money to...I’m still aware of the impact it had on my life." One of the values of MTMPF is to maximize every opportunity to grow, and this generous gift from Janelle is a testament to that value being lived out loud.

GOAL- Don't let nothing or no one interfere with your mentality. Continue to grow your spiritual relationship with God.

Graduated from High Point University. GOAL- working to open her own nanny service business.

In the past two years with More Than My Pretty Face, I learned how to build my confidence and how to cope with my emotions. Since graduating, I have been working and will start my entrepreneurship classes at York Tech.
